sofaTo Clean -- In a big bowl, combine one part mild detergent with four parts water. Whip the mixture with a whisk, creating lots of foam. Clean by brushing the foam on the upholstery, then wipe the foam off, blot it dry and then use a blow dryer to complete the job.

To Remove a Musty Smell -- Scatter kitty litter on the upholstery and let it stay there for a few hours, then vacuum.
cigar ashtrayTo Remove the Smell of Smoke baking soda box -- Scatter baking soda on the upholstery and let it stay there for a few hours, then vacuum.
sponge  To Remove Pet Hair -- Wipe the upholstery with a slightly dampened sponge or chamois cloth.
cornmeal  To Remove a Grease Stain -- Rub cornmeal into a stain and leave overnight. Next morning, vacuum it away.
OR Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water and massage it into the stain. When it dries, vacuum it away.
animated coffee cup  Coffee Stains!! -- After blotting up coffee, use wet cloth to remove coffee stain as much as possible. Then clean area with a solution of ½ cup vinegar and 2/3 cup water. Working from the outside to the center, with a white towel, carefully blot the mixture into the area--don't get it too wet. No need to rinse, just let it air dry.
vinegarClean Leather Upholstery -- Mix ¼ cup white vinegar with ½ cup water (stale beer also works). Wash the leather with this mixture to remove the wax buildup. Next, wash the leather with saddle soap and water. Then buff with a soft cloth.
chairTo Clean Vinyl Upholstery -- Hair and skin oils can harden vinyl and make it crack so you should clean the head and arm rests often. Wipe with a damp sponge sprinkled with baking soda or moistened with vinegar. Then wash the vinyl with watered down dish detergent.
